VH1 Divas Salute the Troops: Katy Perry, Keri Hilson and Nicki Minaj

VH1 divas, Katy Perry, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Nettles, paid homage to the troops in a concert held at the Marine Corps air hangar in San Diego aired on December 5. First, Katy, Keri and Jennifer kicked off the tribute by doing the iconic Andrews Sisters World War II tune "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy", looking sassy in their white and gold mesh corset dresses.

Nicki who was absent during the opening number came on to the stage, firing up with her singles such as "Moment 4 Life", "Right Thru Me" and "Roman's Revenge". Donning big white hair and towering heels, the Young Money femcee also made a duet with Katy in "Girls Just Want to Have Fun".

Like the MC, Katy, Keri and Jennifer also got their own set. Katy made a grand entrance and spread patriotic spirit as she landed on the stage with a huge American flag parachute, singing "California Gurls". After warming up the audience with summer anthem, she proceeded with songs like "Teenage Dream" and "Hot 'N Cold" and later closed the entire show with explosive "Fireworks".

Keri showed off her sexy swagger with empowering track "Pretty Girl Rocks". After catering the soldiers with fun performance, she gave her shout-out, thanking them for their service for the country. "You guys are so beautiful. I just want to say thank you so much because if it wasn't for each and every one of you, we could not be here and have the freedom to what we do," she stated.

From the intense rap of Nicki to Katy's patriotic set to Keri's sexy show, Jennifer and her band Sugarland teased those flocking the venue with their breezy tune "Stuck Like Glue". They then saluted ailing Aretha Franklin by covering her single "Think". Jennifer said, "Miss Aretha Franklin, get well soon. We need your voice, baby!"

The VH1 Divas Salute was hosted by Kathy Griffin with celebrity guests including Brandy as well as "Jersey Shore" stars Snooki and The Situation. Beside the show in San Diego, there was also one section taped from Camp Arifjan in Kuwait to salute those who are currently in service. It featured Paramore rocking Foo Fighters' "My Hero" and their one track "The Only Exception".
